Well-being Walk, Copper Collection and Crummy Cakes!!

Children in Need!

Everyone who was in school on Friday joined our Well-being Walk - from our youngest Nursery children to Year 6 and all staff. (Except our kitchen staff who were already busy cooking.) Of course we couldn't go without being 'spotted out'. The whole school, plus some parents and Buddy the Assistance dog, walked to the bridge and back, all in a good cause to raise money for Children in Need. We were accompanied by Djembe drums, played by Year 6, songs and what the children loved the most - the impromptu honking of horns by vehicles! (Thank you to all who did it certainly put a cheer in the children and a smile on everyone's face.) Sherford was certainly the place to be on Friday morning!

Our roaming reporter - Tommy in Year 5 - was busy making notes and taking photos, in readiness for a task he has shared with the whole school - but no spoiler alerts here, we hope he is successful in his task, and then we can share the good news with you all.

We later collected spare copper coins, and sold cakes at the end of the day. The Headteacher couldn't resist buying the lemon sherbet cake for all staff to enjoy - it was delicious and well worth the donation.

Overall we raised over £300!!! What a brilliant effort for all, and for such a good cause.

THANK YOU ALL!

With a special thanks to the Sherford Skills Centre for the loan of adult and children hi-vis jackets.

Check out our Gallery here and Class Dojo for some of the day's photos.
