Salary details    Grade C4 (£9.55 per hour) 39 weeks per year (pro rota) 15 hours per week 3pm-6pm (possible 2 extra afternoons as classroom assistant for the right candidate)

Sherford Vale School opened in September 2018 in the new town of Sherford. The school is growing rapidly and we are seeking an enthusiastic and exemplary after school club assistant to join our happy team and contribute to the range of skills and expertise we already have and help shape the direction of the school.

We are looking for a Wrap Around Care Assistant who Is passionate about providing exciting extra-curricular activities to enrich and entertain children after school.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following attributes:

  • Can build good relationships with children, staff and parents; -
  • Can thrive and develop through a period of change and growth, maintain a positive attitude and a good sense of humour.
  • Can provide a rich and exciting programme of activities suitable for a range of age groups and needs.
  • Can provide healthy snacks for children in their care.
  • Have high expectations of behaviour and a range of strategies to deal with pupils with SEN.
  • Commitment and enthusiasm.
  • Work on own initiative and as part of a team.
