Big Wide World: This term, our topic is Big Wide World, where children will explore different places, cultures, and environments across the globe. We’ll be learning about maps, countries, animals from different habitats, and how people live in other parts of the world. As part of this, we’ll also be looking at different types of transport and how people travel to faraway places – by land, sea, and air. Through stories, songs, role play, and creative activities, children will begin to develop an awareness of the wider world and respect for diversity. You can support your child at home by talking about places you’ve visited, how you travelled there, looking at maps or globes together, and reading books about different countries and cultures.
