This term our topic is 'Where do I live?'

 The aim of this enquiry is to introduce pupils to what geography is all about. Firstly, pupils are encouraged to distinguish between geographical features that are essentially 'human' in origin and those physical features that are natural. Pupils are able to use GIS (Geographical Information System) data on Google Earth together with their own local fieldwork recording and interpretation to consolidate their understanding of key concepts such as location, distribution and change.

This investigation focuses on the immediate vicinity of the school and the pupils' homes and then extends to encompass the local area.
