Sherford Vale School is a primary school at the heart of the community of Sherford to the east of Plymouth. Sherford Vale is a free school and is part of Westcountry Schools Trust.
The published admission number for Foundation is 30 and there are 30 places available in all other year groups from September 2019. Additional places will be made available at the school as the new community at Sherford grows.
For admission at the start of the Foundation year, parents of children living in Devon (not Plymouth or Torbay) should apply to Devon County Council, likewise if the children live in the Plymouth City Council area they should apply to Plymouth.
Applications can be made at anytime. We would strongly encourage you to apply as soon as possible.

Admission for Secondary education
If you have a child in secondary education, please apply to the Local Authority in which your child lives. There will be a secondary school built in Sherford in the next few years, however at the present time there are excellent local schools available. If you live in Sherford, you will be eligible for free transport to Ivybridge Community College. (This is supported for Sherford residents from monies provided by the building developers.)
Sherford Vale School is a feeder school for Ivybridge Community College so our Year 6 children have priority for secondary transfer admission.
Secondary transfer admissions are made to the Local Authority where a child lives.
