Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
Our SENDCo is Mr Peter Grafton. He can be contacted directly through email@example.com.
Sherford Vale School and Nursery will provide for children with Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) as a key part of our inclusive setting. There is an expectation that all children regardless of their specific needs will be offered inclusive high quality teaching which will enable them to make the best possible progress, reach the highest standards and to participate fully in the curriculum and associated activities.
A range of support will be available for children including access to support from outside agencies when appropriate. Our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator will oversee the work of the team of Teachers and Support Staff to ensure individual children’s needs are met. This will be achieved by working with parents, children and staff and by monitoring plans, lessons and books, providing interventions and seeking external advice to ensure that all children receive the provision they require in order to become independent, resilient and successful learners.
